R&A HM FC - windshield adhesive/sealant
R&A HM FC is one-part high modulus and high viscosity polyurethane sealant. It is a quick setting and air moisture curing sealant. It provides a permanent, elastic and high strength bonding. The sealant has a particularly good resistance to ageing and harsh weather.
AREA FOR APPLICATION
R&A HM FC is recommended for the bonding and sealing of the windshield, side and rear windows in the automotive and transportation tool manufacturer, also could be used in coach glass joint smooth with excellent aspects. It provides an excellent adhesion on materials like glass, ceramic, painted or naked metal (aluminium, steel, etc.), and therefore can also be used as bonding sealant in different kinds of applications.

INSTRUCTIONS
Substrate preparation
The substrates to be assembled must be dry, clean, free of oil and other contaminants that could adversely affect the bonding performance. The substrates to be assembled are first treated with the cleaner, when the cleaner is dry, apply the activator. When using cleaner or activator, keep away from all sources of ignition and carefully follow the safety and the handling instructions given by the manufacturer or supplier.
Installation
When the activator is completely dry, R&A HM FC to be applied with a hand or pneumatic gun to one substrate and pressed it on the second substrate before it is skinned. Do not apply it at temperatures under 5℃. In cold weather, store the «sausages»/cartridges at 20℃ before use. Do not apply silicones or in presence of polymerized silicones or hybrid sealants (MS or SPUR).
Cleaning
Tools should be cleaned with MEK or acetone before curing. After curing, mechanical cleaning is necessary.
STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
12 months in the original cartridges and «sausages». Hermetically store the products between +5℃ and +25℃
